Mom received a gift card last week and took me along to do some tasty treat shopping at Chuck & Don’s. She rotates between bringing me and bringing Nelson. Bailie doesn’t want to go. I was very excited to see what kind of good things they might have for me and my siblings. They sure do have a lot of things to choose from. Mom is picky and likes single ingredient things or at least very healthy snacks for us.
I found a big display of Jones Chews. Bailie has told me all about this company as they used to be a the blogging conference, BlogPaws, and the nicest lady ever, Flea, used to load up Mom’s bag with goodies for Emma, Bailie, and Madison. She even mailed them tasty stuff to try and write reviews for the blog. Sadly, BlogPaws went away and Flea passed away in 2023. Mom hasn’t seen much from Jones Chews except at Mills Fleet Farm. We are excited to know they are in this store now.
Honestly, it was a bit of sensory overload for me with all the yummy chews to smell. They are packaged in plastic but I can still smell them, no problem.
Up front they have two tables with yummy, healthy treats. I could not stay away from that area! The Happy Howies items seemed to smell especially good. I think I could come here to shop on a daily basis!
We looked/sniffed around for a while. The nice man working at the store gave me a snack which was really tasty. Mom said I could choose one snack for the car on the way home and three snacks for us hounds that night. I picked the Happy Howies turkey sausage for the car and the Woof Sticks for us to have that night. Everyone gave the Woof Sticks four paws up.
Mom went back and forth over what else to buy. Finally she made her decision and got a few packages of single ingredient treats for our treat supply drawer. As you can see, Nelson has the beef liver, wild boar, and lamb freeze dried treats. We sampled them and they are yummy.
Bailie is holding the freeze dried Bison Liver which is also super tasty! We brought a couple more things home too and we still have money leftover! Next time Nelson will get to go shopping but this time, I had a blast!
