Meet adoptable deaf, 3 year old Molly who is a pointer mix who came from the great state of Hawaii and is looking for a patient home with someone who will cherish her, giver her plenty of time to settle into her new home, help her build her confidence, become her new best friend and always keep her safe. Molly is a shy dog and can be fearful at times so someone to help her navigate a new home and support her special needs.

From her current caregivers: Molly is a good looking 3 yr-old loving companion located in Cody, Wyoming (right near Yellowstone Park). Sadly, Molly recently lost most of her hearing three months ago due to neglected ear infections, but she is safe, all healed and all healthy now . Molly is loving and affectionate, plus GREAT with other dogs! She has short fur that is low-to-no-shed/zero maintenance. She is 100% reliably house-trained, spayed, up-to-date on shots, NOT on any medicines, I.D.-chipped and ready to love. She is very submissive and eager-to-please. This sweet companion is a perfect medium-size dog ~41lbs. Molly doesn’t dig or climb fencing or try to escape, she barks infrequently, enjoys car rides and travels well, she has no allergies, is never aggressive, is smart, and is quickly learning 15 hand-signals.

Especially because Molly could hear up until three months ago, she is very intuitive and can easily read your face and body language. She tends to be shy and may feel intimidated by unfamiliar people, walks well on a leash, and is dog-door trained. She “gets-with-the-day’s-program” (she’s rugged & able when outdoors on a long hike, but also likes to be quiet & mellow watching TV (or just softly snoring alongside you). She loves carrying and napping with her stuffed animals, showing her gentle nurturing side, but is also playful and energetic, yet always mild and easily-content. She is just as happy to go on a hike as she is to stay home by your side all day. She would love a companion dog or fenced yard. Molly would be a work-from-home or retired person/couple’s dream. Please email with any questions so we can also send you a blank adoption application to fill out to be considered for adoption.

Molly’s adoption fee is $100 to a screened and approved home. Molly is shy and can be fearful and it will help to have a patient and understanding person to build her confidence over the long term. It takes 6-8 weeks for a dog to settle into a new home (and sometimes a few weeks longer for a deaf dog that has been moved around).

Molly’s current caregivers are looking for a home in the state of Wyoming (within driving distance so you can meet Molly in person first before you decide to adopt her – this is a must). If you are interested in adopting Molly and want to set up a meeting with her, please email Gina so she can send you a blank adoption application to fill out to be considered for adoption at: gdouglas97@protonmail.com
