Meet adoptable deaf four year old deaf bully Marissa who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend, let her live inside as a member of the family and always keep her safe.
From her shelter advocate: Marissa is a beautiful all white pitbull type mix, estimated to be about 4 years old.
She is very friendly and affectionate with humans of all ages.
She is fantastic at maintaining eye contact with her handler, which is her way of connecting & following cues and hand signals. She is super playful, loving to play fetch with tennis balls and stuffies. She prefers to spend her afternoons romping in the sunshine followed by a nap and her evenings snuggling up or curled up with one of her favorites chew toys before bedtime.
She does well with polite dogs who aren’t too forward in their introductions, but is not a fan of felines.
Marissa came into the shelter as a stray who was known in her neighborhood for being on the loose often, but her owners never came to claim her and she has been stuck in a shelter kennel since before Christmas.
We would love to see Marissa find a home before another season goes by!
