This very handsome mature GSD x boy is Max and he has the traditional GSD Black and tan short coat
Poor boy sadly had to come into rescue kennels after his elderly owner had a serious accident, and now Max can’t go home again.

Max likes other dogs – especially Shadow who he is kennelled with, and he is exceptionally happy to be near his humans.
Max has been used to living in a home and enjoying love and affection, you can tell he’s really missing this and just cuddles into his carers everyday for love and reassurance.

Max is 9.5 years old, active and happy on his walks so really deserves to spend his golden years in a home, could you provide that for the lovely Max?

We think he would be ok with another female dog and a quiet home, we haven’t tested him for cats but we can do that if required.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.

All dogs are microchipped

For Dogs coming from Spain this adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.

We can not home dogs from Spain  to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
