Meet adoptable deaf/vision impaired Australian Shepherd mix puppy Powder who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement puppy training a priority and always keep him safe.

Powder -TN – Deaf Dogs Rock

From his shelter advocate: Powder who is 3-month-old, male, Australian Shepherd mix puppy who is vision-impaired and deaf, but don’t let that fool you—he is  friendly, curious, and full of puppy joy. Like most Aussies, Powder is mouthy, playful, and busy, so be prepared for typical puppy antics, training, and the occasional unexpected accident. While Powder may be vision impaired and deaf, he should have no difficulty adapting to a home once he learns the lay of the land—routine and consistency will be key.
Because Powder experiences the world differently, adopters will need to take extra time introducing him to new spaces such as furniture layouts and other animals. A full veterinary eye exam and ongoing medical care will be important for their long-term well-being.

Powder’s adoption fee is $85.00. If you would like to fill out and adoption application to be considered for Powder’s adoption, please click here.
