Details of Malta

This pretty, young lady is Malta, another black and white female SBT who is 5 years old and standing at 47 cms, who finds herself needing a new home as she was just abandoned when her owners came back to the UK and she’s been handed into the pound. Malta is very friendly and laid back, she has unusual markings on her face just like panda, perhaps they are related? She does not pull on lead and is friendly with other dogs and cats, she’s a proper lovely girl that would fit into many families.

Volunteers took her for a car ride to the vets recently and reported she was great in the car, jumped straight in and travelled well. In the vets, she passed 6 cats with no issues and also passed dogs with no issues.

Malta has mild Leish which is maintained with tablets that cost £4 per packet of 28. Its no contagious and has no affect on her as long as she takes her daily tablet. We are looking for a home with or without other friendly dogs/cats and children over 10 years.

Foster Report:

None yet.

Her Best Points:

Malta, as you can see in the photos, is a friendly, happy and gentle laid back girl.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog:

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

Homecheck:

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks.

The adoption fee is £250.00 for transport plus an adoption fee of £250.00 depending on the breed and age of the cat.  The fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK or Paypal and covers the cost of passport, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.   There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.

If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.

If application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.

All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).

We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.

Proof of ID and landlord permission is required

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
