Details of Tadeo

This gorgeous boy is a large, tan, black masked, Mastin X Gt Dane, with a soft short coat who is presently in a pound in Malaga and due to travel to Weymouth in foster in the New Year.
We have been told poor Tadeo has been in the pound for over a year since he was a puppy, he is now about 18 months old, and he has a very nice character and is very friendly towards other dogs and people, but just a little exuberant in his play and on lead, which is to be expected after such a long time in kennels.

Tadeo is amazing, very handsome, and will make a great family pet in a home where owners are happy to work through his new training regime, walking properly on lead and more training on commands.
Tadeo came to our attention because he was advertised as needing help and because he had been mutilated. Whoever bred Tadeo thought is was ok to cut off his ears and so we intervened to help him get a home in the Uk before the new crazy legislation comes into force, preventing any animals with cropped ears or tails entering the UK.
He can live with other dogs- not small, and children over 12 years due to his size and puppyish ways.
He can also be homed on his own.
.
He will be looking for a new home after he has been assessed in foster in the new year.
It would be nice to have a large garden but not necessary if he is regularly walked.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog:

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

Homecheck:

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks.

The adoption fee is £250.00 for transport plus an adoption fee of £250.00 depending on the breed and age of the cat.  The fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK or Paypal and covers the cost of passport, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.   There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.

If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.

If application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.

All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).

We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.

Proof of ID and landlord permission is required

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
