From his caregiver: Hi! I wanted to share a little about Zeus so you can get to know the amazing dog you’re considering welcoming into your family.
Zeus is a 6-year-old neutered male and an absolute sweetheart. He’s a mixed breed with Australian Shepherd, Labrador, Dalmatian, and Pit Bull in him, which gives him a really unique look and personality. He’s a medium-to-large sized dog with a beautiful white coat covered in black spots, warm brown eyes, and a very expressive face that makes it easy to see just how loving he is.
More than anything, Zeus is an affectionate boy who really enjoys being close to his people. He’s very cuddly and happiest when he’s relaxing next to someone he loves.
Zeus is deaf, but that doesn’t stop him from living a full and happy life. He does great with visual cues and routines, and he’s very attentive to the people around him. Deaf dogs often form incredibly strong bonds with their families because they rely so much on watching and connecting with their humans.
He can be a little protective of his home and the people he loves, but he has never bitten anyone. He simply likes to keep an eye on things and make sure his family is safe. Once he knows someone is a friend, his sweet personality really shines through.
Zeus is an indoor dog and truly thrives when he’s part of the family’s daily life. One thing to be aware of is that he does experience some separation anxiety. He does best in a home where someone is around a good portion of the time or where he can slowly build confidence being alone.
Overall, Zeus is a gentle, loyal, and very loving dog who just wants a safe home and people to cuddle with. Anyone who gives him patience, understanding, and affection will get that love returned tenfold.
