I decided to kick off my birthday week with baby puppy Olivia photos. We are going back to where it all began. Maybe I am biased but I was pretty adorable! Mom has so many photos it was tough to settle on just a few.
This is one from right before I was born. It is my mom’s belly with the eight of us still preparing to meet the outside world.
Here I am at a week old. I wasn’t up to much mischief yet, heavens I could barely move!
Fast forward another eight weeks and I got to meet my new mom. She was in love with me immediately! Boy was I a pudgy bundle of hound! Even as a youngster I had my big, front, jumbo pillow paws.
Next I got to meet my sisters, Bailie and Madison. We were not instant friends but I was determined they would like me eventually. Bailie never likes puppies which I now know, so it was nothing personal.
We had an almost seven hour ride to my new home, so I took the opportunity to burn off some energy before I left my birth family. Did you know Mom actually was planning on adopting my sister until two weeks before she came to pick me up. For some reason, she thought I looked better to her and boy am I glad her mind changed!
Mom put me out in the yard with my new sisters and they got to sniff me up good.
The photo taking started right away with a family photo. Little did I know photos would be a huge part of my life! I was not having any part of the modeling stuff as you can see. My silly side also came out. The photo has become one of Mom’s favorite photos of the three of us.
Back inside, I found some toys to play with and I learned my sisters were not into playing toys with me. Mom was all nuts about me and that is the most important thing. They say the dog you lose will send you the dog you need. Emma had passed away six months earlier. My litter was not planned and then Mom decided to choose me over my sister. We are so close, it is crazy. Our personalities are even similar. Mom has a special bond with each of us but ours is something extra special for which we are both thankful.
