Meet adoptable deaf 4 month old Happy who is looking for a very special home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.

Happy’s adoption fee is $300 to a screened and approved home only and you must live within three hours travel distance to Fernley NV (just East of Reno NV) to be considered for adoption.

More info on Happy from her caregiver: Fell in love with Happy the minute I laid eyes on her so this is breaking my heart. She was about 2 months old (birthdate is November 28th) when I gave a guy at Walmart $60 cause he “needed gas to get home”. I didn’t believe him but I figured he could not afford to keep the puppy if he was in need of gas money. About a week later my husband figured out she was deaf. So we set up Deaf Dog Training and were so happy to be making some progress. Then on February 9th I had a heart attack. I flatlined and now am recovering from 3 broken ribs and a fractured sternum. I am 71 years old and recovering but it is going slow and I am very weak. My husband has been amazing both taking care of me and Happy. Then on Friday, March 13th – my husband was in terrible pain. I took him to the hospital where they put an NG tube in his stomach. They were able to pump his stomach but have discovered some kind of blockage. He is in so much pain.

Here we are a week later, they are still running tests. They don’t want to do surgery until they know what is wrong. I am struggling to take care of Happy. She is mostly in her cage because I just physically cannot keep up with here. It is even a struggle to feed her but she hasn’t missed a meal. As I sit here with tears in my eyes (I love her so much), I am praying there is someone who will adopt her and love her as much as we do. The trainer says she is very smart which is in line with both Pitbulls and Heelers.
She is half Pitbull and have Australian Heeler. And yes, mostly white. She has a few Heeler spots starting to show and her ears stand straight up. I’m putting this in God’s hands.
