What makes Hank special:
He is completely deaf but he is eager to learn hand signals with a patient owner. Hank is the gentlest, most loving dog – and he has zero aggression or guarding issues.
He adores other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion in his new forever home.
Hank is quiet and calm and he rarely barks. He is completely potty trained so no worries there!
Hank is super smart and he has learned the doggie door in just a few minutes as well as sit and lay down. He has so much potential to flourish in the right home!
What Hank needs:
He needs someone who can commit to hand signal training using positive reinforcement sign training. You can learn more about that here.
Ideally it is best if Hank is not left alone for long periods of time and he thrives in doggy daycare.
Hank needs a family ready to give him the understanding, love and safe home he deserves.
Hank’s Journey: Hank was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Alabama and transported to NJ through Crossings Animal Rescue. Despite a rocky start where his deafness went unnoticed, this sweet boy has shown nothing but love and resilience.
He’s ready for his fresh start with someone who will see his incredible potential! He just wants love and cuddles! He is UTD will all vaccines, just had a well check 1/28/26 and he is healthy!
