If you’re a professional dog walker in the UK, you’ll know that there is a lot of responsibility attached to this post. Getting the right equipment plus all the other things you have to get right shouldn’t be hard work.
So, I made it easy for you by giving you my Top 10 recommended products, starting at number one with the flagship product you simply should not be without.
Simply put, this is an adjustable, wide (50mm) dog walking belt that you clip around your waist or above your hips for attaching dog leads to.
It’s not just about being safe – this walking belt provides unrivalled safety for walking multiple dogs – but it also allows the following:
- Primarily, it prevents you from accidentally dropping leads
- Secondly, it facilitates untangling of leads
- Reduces strain on your joints when walking a pulling dog
- Gives you peace of mind because you can relax, which in turn helps your dog relax.
This is NOT, I repeat NOT bull%$@t. I have 6 dogs now, I also have a fenced paddock. The paddock gets boring, so every now and then I take a walk out beyond the field that I now call ‘out out’ walks. You might have seen some of my videos of me walking my pack on this belt.
One day, I have no idea how, but I went out without the belt and felt incredibly vulnerable and anxious that I would accidentally let go of leads or any other scenario you can dream up as an anxious person does.
The next tine I went out, needless to say, I did not forget to put my Meg K9 Dog Walking Belt on! The confidence boost was IMMENSE.
Early 2026, the Dog Walking Belt got a new addition to the family, dubbed the Pro+, this upgrade came with 4 D rings (as opposed to the 2 D rings the original one is fitted with).
Making this belt was a solution to my own dog walking routine, but I had no idea it would become the success it now is. Its’ success has surpassed any of my best sellers (for example the long lines and car boot lead, even the Simple Leader & Dream Walker took back seats).
A quick Google search shows what people are saying & our Trustpilot shows its true colours with people raving about this product.

Moving on to the next product that is a must for pairing with the belt and that is a double ended lead like our running lead or even the police dog style training lead; both the same concept, but the running lead has a bungee section, making dog walks even more pleasant.
A popular double ended dog lead option, the same as the running lead which facilitates ease of untangling dog leads, detaching and re-attaching.
The carabiners come in useful if you are using either your existing leads with or without O rings on the handle, or a plain dog lead without a clip at both ends.
I don’t recommend attaching leads to a belt in any other way than with a clip; without which you cannot untangle or unclip a lead.
The multi-dog attachment is an accessory that can be added to an existing belt and is not fixed. The beauty of this is you can have dogs to the side or behind you. It was added in-between making the 2 ring belt and the 4 ring Pro+, meaning you could attach dogs in a different configuration as mentioned. This, again, was something I made initially for myself, but worked so well, I decided to start marketing them.
Choose between a standard trigger hook or a carabiner, what ever you prefer.
Far from essential, but definitely a nice accessory to have. I have been selling bags that compliment dog walking for a few years. The one I have now is my favourite. It has multiple pockets with 2 zippers at the top. It has plenty of room for dog walking essentials including your phone, cash, cards, keys, treats and more.

A more budget friendly lead that is compatible with the dog walking belt is our plain webbing lead. This lead has a ring on the handle, so paired with a carabiner, you can easily add, untangle or detach multiple leads.
Wow so whats this? Well, it’s brand new as of March 24th 2026. Again, something I wanted for myself. The problem was having leads scattered around, hung randomly around the head rest or in your case, maybe on crates or travel cages.
They are not designed as dog tethers so should be used for lead storage only.

Again, something new I added in 2026, specifically as awareness. Examples of this are:
- Your business name
- Awareness statement like REACTIVE DOG, NO DOGS etc
This is a custom product not listed on the website mainly because the individual needs vary from one user to the next.
So, what is it?
A safety link is a piece of webbing, usually with a tip at each end, made to join two pieces of equipment together.
Examples of this are harness to collar, collar to head collar (most popular), harness to collar to lead or any combination that satisfies your problem or security goal.
To round things off, none of this is about overcomplicating your walks or buying things you don’t need. It’s about making your day-to-day dog walking easier, safer, and far more manageable.
When you’ve got the right setup, everything changes. You feel more in control, your dogs settle better, and you’re not constantly fighting small problems that shouldn’t be there in the first place.
Every product on this list comes from real use, real walks, and real situations — not theory. I’ve made or chosen them because they solve problems I’ve actually had.
And as always, if you need any advice, please get in touch.
