Meet adoptable deaf, 3 month old German Wirehaired Pointer puppy Arrow who is looking for a very special home with someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe. Arrow is already house trained and crate trained. He is also good with other dogs since he is still just a puppy. Arrow is currently 18 pounds of pure joy and love.

Arrow-NY – Deaf Dogs Rock

From his caregiver: Arrow is a very friendly little guy who loves to go for walks, play with other dogs and is very social. He’s quickly picking up on signs that are being taught to him, is crate trained and house trained. As he grows, he may very well come into his natural hunting abilities and a great tracker and would do wonderful in K9 Nose work because many deaf dogs excel in Nose Work – Scent Work competition.

At this time, he loves to play, lick faces and enjoys being around people of all ages and other dogs. His lack of hearing hasn’t impaired any of his other abilities and need to be loved.

Only caution, due to high prey drive that’s natural in this breed, he may not be well suited for cats. While this isn’t always an issue, I’d rather it be acknowledged. He’s looking for his forever home; he loves to give and receive love.

Arrow’s adoption fee is $250 to a screened and approved home only. You must live within a 4  hour drive of Romulus New York to be considered for adoption.
