Elegant Roo is a 5 year old female Greyhound. She is a friendly and gentle girl with a sensitive side. She enjoys being with her people, receiving affection, and playing with her toys.
She is social with other dogs but can be worried of some, so she will need her owner to help build her confidence and provide her with reassurance and guidance when needed.
She would love a home where she could snuggle up on the sofa after a day of sniffy adventures and enjoy the wonders of being a much-loved family dog. This gorgeous girl will make an extremely rewarding companion for anyone lucky enough to adopt her.
Roo can live in a flat as long as there is direct access to a private garden. She can live with sensible junior or secondary age children that will give her space when needed.
She could also potentially live with a calm, large-breed adult dog, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew. Roo has a very subtle lameness in her right foreleg, especially after intensive exercise.
It is possible that she has an underlying injury from her previous work as a racing greyhound. She is on long-term anti-inflammatories for this and doing very well.
Roo has been microchipped, neutered, and vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
