3 year old male Terrier Cross available for adoption

3 year old male Terrier Cross available for adoption

EVERYONE loves Leo! If you’re looking for a real character – a dog who will give you lots of laughs, lots of fun and cuddles…this little one-eyed lion is your boy.

Leo, born in 2023 is a lively, cheeky terrier mix and as with all terriers, needs firm and consistent boundaries. People with terrier experience in particular, will love this boy’s intelligent, lively and hugely fun personality.

Leo can live with other dogs (he lives with 3 others of all ages and sizes in his foster). He hasn’t got a nervous bone in his body so can sometimes be full on, liking rough and tumble vocal play.

He might be a little domineering for a very quiet, older or nervous dog, but a great buddy for an enthusiastic kindred spirit (any size… Leo thinks he’s a Lion!).

Leo likes his dog pals but he’s more of a people’s-dog than a dog’s dog. He adores people, he adores men; he’s been lovely with his fosterer’s 7-year-old grandson. His loves are food, cuddles and walks…. dog friends come after.

So, Leo would also be perfectly happy as an only dog if he kept up regular socialising with other dog friends.

Leo is clean in the house, crate trained, can be left alone for short periods, travels beautifully (he loves a long car journey) and has behaved very nicely in a care home (where everyone fell in love with him of course).

Leo has learnt to live in a home and now knows the difference between his own toys and other objects where chewing is concerned.

Originally, Leo came from Bosnia. He came to our rescuer’s attention when he was hit by a car. Unfortunately, his eye was found to be badly damaged and had to be removed.

Leo really doesn’t mind that he only has one eye and his cheeky jaunty look suits this loveable boy perfectly!

Please note – we do not rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 10.

Type of Home Sought:

Leo is super adaptable and can live just about anywhere, as long as it has a garden. He loves chasing about. A busy household would be fine. A large household would be fine.

Leo will need a good amount of exercise, play and stimulation.

Leo chases cats so a household without cats would be best unless they are extremely dog savvy.

Dogs or no dogs.
