Please meet Marvellous Maddy!
Maddy is a gorgeous little terrier mix, we suspect border terrier cross, she is approx. a year old, and was picked up straying and never reclaimed. She wasn’t microchipped despite this being a legal requirement.
This poor little girl was absolutely petrified of people, wherever she has lived prior to straying, its clear she has never known human kindness, she was an absolute wreck and it broke our hearts.
We now feel she needs her forever humans to bring her on, She trusts us and the pack but is still very scared, particularly on a lead so this will be a work in progress, She is very food responsive so with time, this will bring her round.
Can you be her new humans and make her forget all the damage done in her early life? Maddy was terrified of everyone and would panic when we try to pick her up.
Once she is being held she is fine to be handed over but she is very weary of people and will try to hide from new people. She has come on really well since being with us, but she is going to need a very calm patient home, adult only who can help her get over her previous trauma.
She is fine with dogs, in fact she absolutely adores them and will run and play with them all day given the chance! She will absolutely need to live with a confident dog to help her learn how to dog.
She has come so far with us, but its really busy and chaotic here and she needs more 121 time and to bond and trust her people.

Once Maddy knows you, she loves you and is an absolutely fab little dog, and so pretty! Maddy absolutely adores other dogs, especially ones of a similar size to her.
She loves to play ball when out in the secure field and loves to chase and play with the other dogs. Maddy travels really well in the car and is always looking for her next adventure.
She is brilliant off lead, but I have only ever allowed this is an enclosed field. She is nervous of being picked up and will shy away from you, but she loves to come and snuggle with you on the sofa or the bed.
Maddy is very much a work in progress, so please do not apply if you are not committed to helping her long term, She will need a calm quiet environment where she can opt to come and be with humans, but doesn’t have to be if she isn’t confident with this.
She absolutely cannot be let down by humans again, she deserves so much better than the awful start she has had!
Maddy is neutered, microchipped de flead and wormed, and fully vaccinated.
